While most people slowdown in the winter going within instead of out, I am running
around in circles trying to keep up with new initiatives.  Hibernation is not on my dance
card. Florida black bears are not taking time off so why should I.  I watch and learn from
the squirrels running in circles sometimes quarreling with others but mostly getting
along with rabbits and birds at the bird feeder until the hawk, peregrine falcon or
raccoon come on the scene. 

Our severe heat, hurricanes and flooding is in the past and perfect winter weather
enlivens us.  People from the North join us helping with the unlimited creativity bursting
forth to meet the critical crisis of climate change.  Southwest Florida EcoAlliance is one
of the new initiatives where I run in a circle that brings individuals and environmental
organizations together as a mighty force for saving our beautiful biodiversity of nature,
and in doing so saving us. Protecting, restoring, rewilding, enjoying is the circle dance.  
Episcopal women’s Caring for Creation: Native American Celtic World View retreat is
answering the call to bring us together for forming reciprocal relationships and climate
solutions. Held February 12-14, at Day Spring eco-spiritual conference center in Florida
near Tampa to transform the dominant worldview that is killing us to one that is life
giving for all creation.  

Mary Robinson, first woman president of Ireland, along with fifty women leaders
launched a Global Women’s Alliance to meet the climate crisis. This happened in
November at the UN COP 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, where governments and
organizations failed to meet the challenge.  Global Women’s Alliance is one of the
circles we are bringing to the UN Commission on the Status of Women, UNCSW.

Women and girls are on the frontlines of climate solutions and actions.  Being the most
vulnerable they know what is needed. They share power and leadership multiplying
efforts for sustainable actions and regenerative practices.  What looks like running in
circles becomes the creative chaos in organizing as a mighty force for positive change.
    
Solidarity Economy out of Brazil puts people and planet first.  Communities benefit as
profits stay within and those in the greatest need are empowered. This alternative to
capitalism that only benefits those already wealthy and destroys Mother Nature brings
circles of equity and prosperity to all.  

Women are leading the future with collaborative artificial intelligence to solve systemic
issues such as gender inequality, economic inclusion and climate justice. It is the map
for the future.

In between running around in circles, I take a winter nap curled up with Sophie, my
abandoned now deeply loved grey tuxedo kitten whose purring is a lullaby.

More and more sacred circles are being formed and coming together in coalitions, partnerships and networks for the greater good.  2024 is the year of interconnected sacred relationships being revealed and by us humans formed.  We are in a time where change is happening at a rapid pace, exponentially bringing about a tipping point of sacred circles to replace patriarchy/hierarchy. From the global magical view in the Green Tent Circle we can see and feel positive change that is happening on the ground; locally we are connected globally through our networks where we share stories, events, best practices, strategies, and resources from one part of the world to other places. We meet every Saturday by Zoom where all are needed and welcomed.  

My blog will tell the good news of Sacred Circles by adding to the thousands of stories radiating from within and out, from the individual to the community.  It is in a Sacred Circle where each one is listened to without judgment and supported with love and help if wanted.  We are the mycelium, the root-like structure of a fungus consisting of a mass branching of interconnections, not seen by many but known by all who have spiritual eyes and ears.  We don't make patriarchal news that keeps us separated, in fear and feeling hopeless.  We have our own news in a monthly Green Tent Tidings that tells the good news and stories, events open to all, resources freely available, a monthly Illuminator and a magical mystical animal of the Do Something for Mother Earth movement.  Every month Kristin Raphaela Otti presents us when one of her sacred drawings,  Animal Wisdom Speaks, for pondering and  Actions. Actions that add to miracles happening all the time.  

Mother Earth is a sacred cosmic circle who takes care of us.  Let's reciprocate so generations after us have a healthy planet and we become healthy people.
