ON THE OCCASION OF THE 18 YEARS OF THE RAMIA HOUSE AND PETRA ANTI-VIOLENCE CENTEROCTOBER 5, 6 & 7 2022
The experiences that touch the existence of every woman draw a mobile topography, a changing landscape. Living it requires attention, as Simone Weil tells us, in reading what happens, it involves adjustments, openings, cuts. An atypical map is drawn, witness to the experience that is narrated and transmitted when the journey of life of each one is completed and grafted into that of the others.
Going through explorations that contemplate bodies, arts, personal and geopolitical stories a place that sprouts in October 2004, in the Veronetta neighborhood, when - instead of a 'service' - a house is inhabited, Casa di ra mine, house of women. A space that has woven an expert order with the city of Verona, with the women's associations, with the University, giving life - with other realities - to the knowledge research laboratory located. Can manual labor be a way of thinking? What process of personal and collective growth can help? How to proceed together with doing and thinking? How can we be educated by and with things, matters, needs of everyday life? What practices of living together can community art generate? This space is talked about in plural today, the women of the house have woven maps in other neighborhoods giving life to intermediate spaces. There the subjective life is valued, the bodily experience of each, allowing mediation with the institutions and social reality from an empowered position: they are schools of comparison, often tearful, expression of the vitality of research that makes the female pulse when the word circulates free from a duty to be and to do. |
