​SOS Spese is doing something very important for Mother Earth and some of its less fortunate citizens. It all started during the pandemics, when people were not able to go out to buy their groceries. The initial idea was to buy it for those in need, but then they realized that the problem was worse, because most people couldn’t afford to buy their own food anymore. SOS Spese once a week, goes to the fruit and vegetable market of Verona to pick up what is being thrown out and distributes it among around 70 families in need.

​So SOS Spese once a week, goes to the fruit and vegetable market of Verona to pick up what is being thrown out and distributes it among around 70 families in need. Every Friday a van with volunteers goes to the market and returns with what they got. It starts early in the morning and around 10:30 am it arrives at the Paratodos shed where there is always a line of people waiting to receive their weekly share of food, good food. The volunteers arrange the fruits and vegetables and help to distribute them. People from all nationalities, gender and age come and even the volunteers pick up their food.

Imagine if we could make an SOS Spese in every city in Europe and in the world? Wouldn’t it be a wonderful way to help ourselves and to help Mother Earth?
